"Give, and it will be given to you—a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, overflowing, will be given into your lap. For whatever measure you measure out will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38
What are your fundamental beliefs about God? Do you truly believe that God can and will supply all of your needs? Are your beliefs reflected in your daily actions? It's one thing to say we believe that God's provision is active in our lives, but quite another thing to walk in that knowledge and base decisions and actions on that principle. If we truly believe that God's supply is limitless and that He eagerly showers us with blessings that make our cup overflow, then the evidence of that belief will be observable in our daily lives. When we hold onto things that need to be released, essentially we are walking in disbelief which is a form of sin. Does your closet contain clothes that no longer fit or that you don't wear anymore because they are out of style? Then give them away to someone who needs them. God will fill your closet back up with stylish, well-fitting clothes. Are you experiencing financial lack? Give to support God's kingdom and He will return the finances to you in ways you could never conceive on your own. Are you lonely? Donate your time to serve those in need at a soup kitchen or other place of service outreach. God will bring an abundance of warm, lasting and fulfilling relationships into your life. Focus on God's infinite provision and consciously give away what you want to receive.
